A teacher educator and executive coach at the Institute of Education, University of Reading with extensive curriculum development and leadership experience. I am passionate about digital technologies, social inclusion, the posthuman and postdigital agenda. I am particularly interested in disability studies and specialise in e-accessibility and the relationship between emotional wellbeing and disruptive technologies. Outdoor learning and computational thinking skills also highlight in my work. Strong emphasis on female engagement in STEAM with work presented at European and international conferences such as ECER, AERA.
The sociotechnical Actor Network Theory (ANT) as well as Activity Theory, Foucault, Barthes and third space theory have influenced my work. I am a firm believer of participatory research methodologies especially in relation to young people with disabilities and special educational needs.
I am keen to explore and disseminate good practice in education.
