Phil is a computing inspector/advisor working for Hampshire Inspection & Advisory Service. He is also CAS Southeast coordinator and a Computing Master Teacher. Phil was involved at the drafting stage of creating and refining the new Computing Curriculum through the BCS and CAS. He currently teaches computing science in three Hampshire junior schools where he has created a curriculum that covers all the objectives of the new National Curriculum and promotes Mathematical understanding.
Phil was an ICT AST for many years working with many schools in Hampshire. He organises the CAS Wessex computing science conference, which over the past three years has been attended by over 480 teachers. He has spoken at many conferences about his work. Phil is also a contributing author to Compute-IT KS3 Scheme of work and has a new book How to teach primary programming using Scratch out soon.
