Cyber Choices is a national programme coordinated by the National Crime Agency and delivered by Cyber Prevent teams in Regional Organised Crime Units and local police cyber teams. It was written into Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE) back in 2022.
Cyber Choices is all about helping young people to make the right choices online; we want to support them in understanding the law and making informed decisions when using technology. The team work with individuals who are at risk of, or on the cusp of, committing cyber-dependent crimes. We aim to avoid criminalisation of these young people, and work with them to educate them on the law and promote positive, legal cyber opportunities.
