After a post graduate degree in Music Technology, Niels started his career as the IT operations manager and media software trainer at a community radio/media centre. In 2013, he joined the Wath Comprehensive ICT team as learning community ICT technician. In this role he developed the ICT infrastructure of Wath’s six main feeder schools and advised the teaching staff on engaging ways to deliver the IT curriculum. He is currently focussing on VEX IQ robotics to build up the coding skills of Y5 to Y9 students at the feeder schools and at the comprehensive, and organises workshops and local competitions to strengthen the links between students and staff at the participating schools.
