Helen Booth is currently the H.E. (Higher Education) Quality Officer at Tameside College, a large FE college in Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester. Supporting the college wide offer of degree-level, Higher Education courses at the college, that meet the demand of higher-level skills shortages in the Greater Manchester area.
Our Mission at Tameside College is to transform lives by offering first class education and training in order to improve employability and generate economic prosperity. This is something I am passionate about and it drives me to improve the H.E provision here at Tameside College every day.
The Role of the H E Quality officer is to lead, implement and oversee quality assurance systems and procedures across the Higher Education provision. To provide specialist advice and guidance to colleagues, collaborative partner organisations and students on all aspects of the HE. To support pastoral and welfare services to Higher Education students and to plan and deliver growth of the Higher Education provision.
Before becoming a H.E. Quality Officer at Tameside College Helen was a Science/Chemistry High School Teacher with additional responsibilities in both PSHCE and Careers roles.
