Fiona has taught for 23 years in UK and international schools, and six years ago made the transition to teach Computer Science to GCSE within her current school in Norwich, where she also works as the Director for Digital Strategy. She completed her Masters in Educational Research with Cambridge University in 2018, gaining a distinction for her thesis 'Cracking the Code: Exploring girls' participation in Computer Science'. Fiona is a Google Certified Trainer, and is also an Apple Teacher and Certified Microsoft Innovative Educator. Her current role is GDST Trust Consultant Teacher for Junior Digital Strategy, which involves working with staff across a network of 25 schools. Fiona’s consultancy work focuses on digital strategy, with the aim of helping staff to embrace educational technology and see the positives that it can bring to their working lives.
