Andrew Whitworth is senior lecturer at the Manchester Institute of Education, University of Manchester, and programme director of the MA: Digital Technologies, Communication and Education. In 2012, this course was the winner of a Blackboard Catalyst award for innovative communications strategies. Andrew is the author of two books that offer a critical perspective on digital and information literacies: Information Obesity (2009) and Radical Information Literacy (2014). In 2013, he was visiting professor at the Queensland University of Technology and one of the authors of the Moscow Declaration on Media and Information Literacy.
