LEARNING IN LOCKDOWN - EXEMPLAR EDUCATION ANNOUNCES HUGE RISE IN ONLINE LEARNING

Exemplar Education, the UK’s biggest children’s home-learning support provider, has announced today that it has seen a record number of lessons completed on their online support system. This growth comes off the back of Exemplar Education offering their maths programme for free to help children and families with learning during lockdown.

A longstanding  pioneer of high quality, affordable, supplementary education, Exemplar Education wanted to give families a sense of routine and structure during lockdown. With parents and guardians having to turn to homeschooling during this period of uncertainty, Exemplar Education has seen a huge increase in demand, with 9,200 additional sign ups and 176,161 lessons completed in April so far - a huge increase of 43% of the learning leader’s  active customer base. On Easter Monday 10,572 lessons were completed on Exemplar Education’s platform, showing the importance of education to families during this time.

Exemplar Education is the UK’s largest home learning company with 400,000 children having enrolled on its courses. As schools shut down and families everywhere began to learn in lockdown thousands of new users signed up for free curriculum aligned maths lessons. The learning provider has now reported record engagement with its service with young learners achieving an average pass mark of 95.7% and collectively completing over 9,000 lessons a day. The programme is a user-friendly online teaching system specifically created to support each of the National Curriculums in the UK. It has over 2,000 video lessons and 6 million questions for children to answer. Exemplar Education made their maths programme free when schools across the UK were shut because of COVID-19.

Steve O’Hara, Programme Director at Exemplar Education says, “Children’s education has always been at the heart of what Exemplar Education does. In this time of disruption it was hugely important for us to help in any way we can, and offering our maths programme for free was a no brainer. We are extremely pleased to see so many families taking us up on the offer and are glad that we have been able to give children and families some sense of normality and structure during this time.”
