Department for Education targeting jaded millennials pondering a new career to plug teacher shortage

Prematurely jaded young professionals who want a job “rooted in purpose” are being urged to enter the classroom by the Department for Education’s Get into Teaching campaign.

The DfE said its drive to recruit career switchers was backed up by a survey which found that two thirds (67 per cent) of the millennial workforce say they are likely to make a major change to their current job in the near future.
