At-home learning: SAM Labs are here to help
What are we doing to support you?
Adding free resources and activities: In support of educators and parents who may be experiencing home learning for the first time as a result of this pandemic, we have adjusted our existing lesson plans into virtual lesson plans and have put together additional activities for students to keep the learning going from home. To access these resources, click here.
Free virtual lessons: Over the coming weeks, our certified teachers will be hosting a series of virtual lessons for students (Grades K-8), to learn STEAM and coding from home, connecting you with other parents, lesson walk-throughs and more. Visit this page as we continuously update the dates and times and add new topics.
Free Professional Development webinars: In response to coronavirus, we are readapting our Professional Development (PD) courses to virtual webinars where educators can earn certification. During this time, we are offering our virtual PD for free at no extra cost. Our PD cultivates educators’ knowledge, skills and mindsets preparing them to lead STEAM and Coding initiatives in their classrooms, clubs and makerspaces. If you are interested, email us or visit our website.
SAM Labs STEAM Global Competition: We will be hosting an online STEAM and Coding competition for students, parents and educators. Show us your collaborative, computational-thinking and creativity skills using SAM Labs blocks for a chance to win amazing prizes. Visit this page as we update more information.
Reducing prices: Use our HOMECODING discount code at the check out to receive a 35% discount on a STEAM Alpha kit. It can be used by 2-3 students, perfect for home learning along with our 50+ ready-made lesson plans!
We will be updating our website with additional resources as we generate them. Please feel free to forward this email as you see fit. Our team are here to help with any questions you have.
