Nominet awards its first grants

The Nominet Trust has awarded its first grants. The organisation was created in January 2008 to fund innovative Internet projects that improve the lives of disadvantaged and vulnerable people, primarily in terms of education, safety and inclusion, in the UK, developing economies and other countries.

Organisations that have been funded include:
• The British Computer Society of the Blind
Cambridge Global Grid for Learning
Cambridge Library Learning Service
Children, Internet Society
Youthnet

Organisations wishing to apply need initially to complete an online eligibility questionnaire –
